All clients will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted Dark Peak Dog Walks terms and conditions if services commence.
INSURANCE - Dark Peak Dog Walks are insured with Petplan Sanctuary Insurance which covers public liability, care custody and loss of key cover. All clients should however, ensure they have adequate insurance for their own animals.
IDENTIFICATION - The client must ensure that the dog(s) has identification on their collar in order to comply with the control of dogs act 1992.
The client is responsible for ensuring that their dog(s) are microchipped and that the contact details for the chip are correct.
The client must provide all items necessary for their animals to be safely and adequately cared for by Dark Peak Dog Walks (i.e. leads, collars, food, medication, cat litter etc.)
BOOKINGS - Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are e-mailed or text to us no later than 7pm Sunday evening.
CANCELLATIONS - You may cancel your booking provided you give a minimum of 24-hours notice, and you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the service commencing, the full rate may be charged.
PAYMENT - Any payment due will be paid by Friday or on the last week day of service by cash or bank transfer.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES - The Client is solely responsible for any and all harm or damage caused by their dog while it is under the care of Dark Peak Dog Walks, and agrees to indemnify Dark Peak Dog Walks in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.
The client agrees to notify Dark Peak Dog Walks immediately of any unwelcome, aggressive, or dangerous behaviour of their dog that has potential to cause harm to person or any other dog.
The client must provide Dark Peak Dog Walks with the name and contact details of someone capable of making a decision relating to the animal(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available the client agrees that Dark Peak Dog Walks may act in the interest of the animal and seek veterinary treatment.
The Client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of Dark Peak Dog Walks, together with any associated costs e.g. call-out charges. The Client authorises Dark Peak Dog Walks to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary; where possible this will be carried out by the Client’s usual/preferred Vet, but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency) and the Client accepts that Dark Peak Dog Walks may at their discretion use any registered Vet. The Client agrees to pay all such costs immediately upon pick-up of their animal, or by agreement with the proprietor.
The Client agrees to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The Client also agrees to notify Dark Peak Dog Walks of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites.
The Client consents to their dog being photographed, filmed, and/or used in any media or advertising by Dark Peak Dog Walks without prior approval. All such media remain the property of Dark Peak Dog Walks.
The Client agrees to ensure their dog has not eaten in the hour before pick up by Dark Peak Dog Walks to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).
The Client agrees to provide keys/alarm codes/arrange access for the agreed appointment; failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service and will be paid in full by the client.
DARK PEAK DOG WALKS RESPONSIBILITIES - All dogs will be subject to an initial solo assessment walk. Dark Peak Dog Walks reserves the right to refuse service to any dog deemed to be, or have the potential to be dangerous. Pregnant or bitches in-season cannot be walked.
Dark Peak Dog Walks will only let dogs off the lead if consent has been given in writing, and this remains at the discretion of Dark Peak Dog Walks.
Dark Peak Dog Walks will care for your animal(s) in the very best way possible. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure your animal is well looked after in your absence, Dark Peak Dog Walks cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to an animal either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
Dark Peak Dog Walks will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk if necessary due to extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat, thunder storms, snow) for the safety of both the dog and the walker and will advise the client accordingly.
Dark Peak Dog Walks will adhere to any specific instructions given by the owner and will take the utmost care of your dog, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times whilst in our care. Dark Peak Dog Walks will do everything possible to protect your dog from any danger and will treat your dog with respect and kindness, ensuring that they have the very best experience.
REFERRALS - Dark Peak Dog Walks offer £10 cash back to any existing customer who refers a new client to us, after the referred client completes their third paid walk/visit from us.
